Lori Mickelson

Mickelson began her real estate career in 1990 after attending the University of Minnesota. Prior to that, she attended Rochester John Marshall High School. Her 26 years of experience in real estate in Rochester MN have given her a distinct advantage over much of her competition. She is highly skilled in negotiation and sold more than 150 homes in 2015, many above current market prices. In 2015, she grossed over $40 million in home sales. Since her career began, she has consistently been ranked in the top one percent in Rochester MN and in the top 10 for RE/MAX Results in Minnesota.

In addition to her years of experience in real estate, Lori employs an enthusiastic support staff and wealth of knowledge on the community itself. She attended John Marshall High School and later attended the local community college before moving on to the University of Minnesota. She returned to Rochester to follow in her father’s footsteps, who was also a top real estate agent in the city. Her children attended both Rochester public and private schools which gave Lori first-hand knowledge of Rochester’s educational system and family-friendly community. Her sterling reputation has allowed her to build a network of contractors, of handymen, plumbers, movers, and painters, all who give Lori’s clients first priority.

Excellence, commitment, integrity, communication, and initiative are the foundations of customer service for Lori and her team. “My favorite part about my job is that I get to connect with people every day. One day I might be talking on the phone with an out-of-town buyer from New York and the next day I’m picking them up from the airport and giving them a guided tour of our city. It’s not just selling a home, it’s matching people and their personalities to their dream lifestyle that I love. It’s picking out the perfect paint colors for one of my sellers, or lining up roofing bids for a buyer. There’s a lot to it and I’m always asking myself how I can make it easier for my clients.”

This personalized attention has kept Lori in the top 1% of her profession since her start in 1990. The majority of Lori’s clients are referrals from family and friends who have worked with Lori and her team in the past. Many clients, such as Malia Howe, have made Lori their designated agent. “We met Lori in 2006 when we were preparing to move to Rochester. Since that time, we have purchased two homes and sold one of them with her assistance. I cannot imagine using another agent.”
